System Engineer

CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
- Good, general IT knowledge that allows to further develop IT skills – Linux/UNIX, Java, relational databases
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Fluency in English Proficiency
- Able to effectively perform required tasks during shift work
- Experience with Oracle Database 12c Enterprise Edition, Apache Tomcat, Oracle WebLogic Server, JIRA, Apache, Linux/UNIX administration, Nagios, SQL, Java EE 7, ITIL best practices, a plus
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting in leading day to day operations related to support and maintenance services for our US based clients
- Providing first level technical support for customers (large enterprise companies)
- Handling service requests, incidents, enhancements, tasks or questions reported by clients
- Performing problem determination, and escalating to 2nd Line support as required
- Reacting to alters and warnings raised by monitoring system – diagnosis, resolution and escalation
- Working closely with Data Center team to maintain services in accordance to Service Level Agreement
- Analyzing root cause of incidents, recommending and implementing improvements
