System Engineering Team Manager

As a System Engineering Team Manager, you will support our US clients in the following areas: end-user system functional specifications, designing, analyzing, and testing Comarch Marketing Management Solutions (CMMS), specifically in the Loyalty software space.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related Information Technology field
  • 5+ years of operational and systems experience in the Information Technology industry
  • 3+ years of technical team supervisory management experience, including recruiting experienced system engineers
  • Excellent Linux/UNIX administration skills
  • Knowledge of Java programming (based), Oracle database administration
  • Experience in supporting cloud systems; Kubernetes experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of TOAD and XML Spy
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting proprietary software systems
  • Skilled in software installation and database administration
  • Working proficiency in one or more of the following areas: data analysis, requirements development, system design, modeling, simulation, integration, and testing
  • Proficient English language skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to different audiences and interact with all levels of staff
  • Travel: up to 20%

Your Responsibilities:

Team Management:

  • Work closely with the Comarch Data Center team to maintain services in accordance with the Service Level Agreement
  • Provide guidance to customers regarding support and maintenance, and CLM and LMC performance optimization based on the team’s expertise
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and primary point of contact for clients
  • Act as a technical SME with clients to discuss functional specifications, identify problems, and prepare input for the roadmap
  • Collaborate with Analysts, Team Leaders, other System Engineers, and Project Managers to ensure that the delivered software meets the business objectives of the project and is developed in accordance with the user or system design specifications
  • Lead training sessions for customers and prepare analytical, technical, and testing scenario documentation

Problem Resolution:

  • Lead teleconferences with clients to analyze and restore service to proper working conditions within the time defined in the Service Level Agreement
  • Oversee the handling of service requests, incidents, enhancements, tasks, or questions reported by clients
  • Analyze information to recommend system installations or modifications
  • Take ownership of resolving impediments beyond the control of the support team
  • Participate in release management activities for client change requests and service packs

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Offer feedback on products and contribute to driving enhancements by collaborating closely with product management and engineering teams
  • Collaborate with the development team to devise effective strategies for new and existing CLM and LMC products and implementations
  • Consult with customers or other departments on project status and technical issues
  • Contribute to the CMMS Knowledge Base by documenting solutions and techniques
  • Utilize expert knowledge in HQ Assessment protocols and contact risk assessments of outsourced IT activities
