Arizona. As a Senior System Engineer, you'll oversee Data Center Infrastructure Management, as well as be responsible for Performance Monitoring, Security Management, and Technical Support.
Candidate profile:
- Degree in IT or technical studies
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in a similar position in a Data Center
- In-depth knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), databases, and networking technologies
- IT qualifications: Linux, Windows Server 2012R2, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2008, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, JIRA, Jira Service Desk, Microsoft Project
- Industry certifications (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft, VMware) is a plus
- Analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and good organizational skills
- Proficiency in English enabling fluent communication
Your responsibilities:
- Monitor the day-to-day operation and manage the Data Center infrastructure, including servers, network devices and data storage systems
- Design, configure and deploy new server and network solutions
- Develop and implement backup strategies and data recovery plans to minimize downtime and data loss
- Monitoring and analysing system performance, identifying shortcomings and proposing appropriate solutions
- Implement and maintain IT security policies, including managing physical and cyber security in Data Center
- Perform regular software and hardware updates, manage security patches and conduct routine system audits
- Providing advanced technical support to other IT departments and training employees on best practices related to IT infrastructure
- Create and update detailed technical documentation, operational procedures and system reports
- Work with other departments to understand their technological needs and adapt the system infrastructure to these requirements
