System Engineer - Software Support

As a System Engineer - Software Support, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of software systems. You will play a critical role in troubleshooting and resolving software-related issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing technical support to Comarch’s clients. Candidate profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in software support, system engineering, or a similar role
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues and problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems (Linux), protocols, and systems such as TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTPS, SSH, and SFTP
  • Configuration and management of web servers, including Apache HTTPD and Tomcat
  • Experience with application servers’ management and configuration (Oracle WebLogic and Wildfly)
  • Managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting Java EE and tools such as Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, Ansible, and Jenkins
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends to provide on-call support for our clients

Your responsibilities

  • Assist in day-to-day operations related to support and maintenance services for Comarch's clients
  • Handling service requests, incidents, enhancements, tasks, or questions reported by clients
  • Respond to alerts and warnings triggered by monitoring systems, involving diagnosis, resolution, and escalation
  • Analyze the root cause of incidents and recommend and implement improvements
  • Document all customer issues, feedback, and enhancement requests systematically
  • Consult with customers and other departments regarding project status, proposals, and technical matters such as software system design and maintenance
